We’ve been seeing quite a bit of Jamil Alam of Endeavor Real Estate around the hood lately. He attended last night’s Neighborhood Association meeting, as well as the last North Loop Planning Team meeting. He hasn’t approached the NA leadership with any new plans, leaving us to wonder why he’s hanging around so much. Read more

BOA Hearing Postponed (Again)

If you were planning on attending the Board of Adjustments meeting tonight to defend North Loop against Endeavor’s variance request, you can stay home.
The hearing has been postponed for the third time, verified over the phone by Susan Walker, the City caseworker handling the Endeavor / Howard’s case. The hearing is now rescheduled for the January 14 BOA meeting. Read more

Endeavor Will Be Back at Next Neighborhood Meeting

Today in a message sent to the NNADL list serv, NNA prez. Sebastian Wren told us that Jamil Alam of Endeavor Real Estate has not, in fact, gone away, but has been personally invited to our annual neighborhood potluck dinner/NNA meeting. From Sebastian’s email:
Neighbors. Our next “meeting” will be our annual Holiday Potluck Dinner on December 3 from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Dayspring Chapel. I have invited our police officer liaisons, Jessica Wilson from KAB, and Jamil Alam from Endeavor to come as our guests.
After repeated assurances from Sebastian that Endeavor has “dropped the deal” on the Howard’s tract, we have to wonder why he has been invited to our little potluck. We’re anxious to find out what Alam’s (and Sebastian’s) agenda is for this little meeting, and encourage all of you to attend and find out for yourselves. Plus, it will give you an opportunity to show off those killer cooking skills!
