The Endeavor project is being packaged as a “mixed use” development. This in my mind accounts for why some residents have supported the project.
“Mixed-use” developments are hot these days. Basically they are a rebirth of the old idea of putting an apartment or two over an urban storefront. The idea is that mixed use cuts down on commuting, and allows people to live more of their daily lives in a walking environment. A retail store is next to a restaurant is next to a grocery store is next to a cafe is next to a bar and above these or nearby people live in apartments. Read more
