We at I Love North Loop were contacted earlier this week by Allen Cowden of Centro Partners, another local Austin development firm. Centro is interested in pursuing the Howard’s property, but has some different ideas about what could be done with apartments there, including the possibility of 3-story, owner-occupied townhomes along 56th, more green space, and different traffic routing. Unlike the last guys, they seem genuinely interested in designing the project in a way that appeals to the neighborhood at large. So far, it’s music to our ears.
